T he thought of human animal embryos brings alive visions of grotesque creatures for those with a vivid imagination. However in reality this research is likely to bring revolutionary therapies for those suffering from diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and even spinal cord injuries by providing embryonic stem cells.

These cells will be adequately able to cover shortages in the availability of human eggs. As per present laws the embryos have to be destroyed within fourteen days, at which stage they cannot be implanted in the womb.
However even this kind of research has its skeptics who believe that this research would bring down the line between humans and animals. Others try to condemn it on moral grounds stating that it creates embryos that are destined to be destroyed when stem cells are extracted from them.

I feel any such scientific research that will go to alleviate the pain of those suffering from deadly diseases should definitely be allowed. Hopefully no evil doctor would want to create monsters. If these plans to allow British scientists to create human-animal embryos are approved the government’s fertility regulator, many scientists will eagerly begin their research.
